Shiloh Bible Conference January 2019 Update

Updated: Apr 12, 2019

Friends of Shiloh,

From the Shiloh team, we hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. God has been doing some amazing things here at Shiloh. While keeping with our focus to reach children for the Gospel of Christ, we have been working to utilize the Shiloh property more and more. We will be offering the same camps as in past years during the 2019 year, but have added several additional camps/retreats to this year’s calendar. Our hope and prayers are that we can glorify God in everything we do here at Shiloh.

One of the exciting updates is the addition of a new staff family here at Shiloh. Lord willing, Eric and Lexi Kreider will be joining us at Shiloh full-time in February 2019. Eric will be serving in the role of Facilities Director while Lexi will be serving at home. We are blessed as a staff to be joined by this wonderful young family, who has stepped out in faith to follow Christ. Please pray for safe travels and transition as they join us from their home state of Indiana.

In addition to adding a new family to our Shiloh team, we have also been making tremendous progress on our multipurpose center. The foundations have been set and the framework has been put in place. We are hoping to continue construction on the building in the spring, pending the remainder of the funds. To date, we have raised over $200,000 in donations, grants, and supplies that have been put towards the progress of the building. We are still approximately $135,000 short of completing the project, but trust God completely that He will provide in His time.

2018 ended on a very positive note with the addition of our newly established Timothy Kick-off and our Discipleship Camp. We had 43 campers attend our new Timothy Kickoff, bringing our total camper attendance for 2018 to 603. In addition to our high camper attendance, we also had almost 300 decisions made throughout all of our youth and children’s camps. PRAISE GOD AND TO HIM BE THE GLORY!!!

2019 Kicked off on a positive note as well. We had nine young adults attend our first young adults retreat. It was an absolute blast and all attendees left rejuvenated and ready for the new year.

Along with financial support, we are always looking for camp volunteers, cabin leaders, labor support, and material donations. If you feel led to support in any of these ways, please complete the attached cut off form and mail it to Shiloh, or contact us via telephone at 208.325.8239. Thank you for your continued prayers and support! To God be the glory!

Will you join us in prayerfully lifting up the remaining 2019’s camps/retreats?

February 1-3: Snow Camp #1 - Camp includes Christ centered teaching, tubing at the Activity Barn, and swimming at Zims Hot Springs, along with other activities. Camp is intended for youth in grades 6-12. Our speaker for this camp will be Nathan Bath, previous director for Shiloh Bible Conference and current missionary with InFaith.

February 8-10: Snow Camp #2 – Camp includes Christ centered teaching, tubing at the Activity Barn, and swimming at Zims Hot Springs, along with other activities. Camp is intended for youth in grades 6-12. Our speaker for this camp will be Pastor Mike Riggins from Salmon River Community Church.

March 8-10: Men/Father/Son Retreat

March 22-24: Ladies/Mother/Daughter Retreat

Shiloh will be offering two brand new retreats geared toward men and women of all ages. The purpose of these retreats is to fellowship with other believers, strengthen their relationship with each other, and strengthen their relationship with the Lord. This years speaker for the women’s retreat will be Julie McClanahan. Julie currently serves on staff with Shiloh Bible Conference. We are currently working to confirm a speaker for the men’s retreat.

April 29 – May 2: Pastoral Retreat

As part of the body of Christ, we have a desire to serve those members who are constantly serving us; therefore, we will be offering a retreat to pastors and their families, free of charge during the last week of April. The retreat will provide those in full time ministry a place to relax, grow and meet other individuals serving in ministry as well. We are expecting this retreat to fill up quickly, so be sure to register as soon as possible. This years speaker will be Pastor Mark Canady.
